Japanese Anemone Honorine Jobert

 The Japanese Anemone Honorine Jobert is often described as the best white variety available, I have to say it is quite spectacular.

We have four of these plants in the back garden and like so many of our other plants, they have been tucked in between other perennials in such a fashion, where they do flower every year, but oh how they would clump up more given the room.

Buphthalmum salicifolium

Buphthalmum salicifolium (yellow oxeye daisy) a Summer flowering perennial which has eventually grown on me after constant reminders from Myra as to how so very like rays of sunshine the flowers are.

I ended the year with a yellow flowering plant as the subject and here I am with the first post of 2012, and what is it (Buphthalmum) Well yes it is yellow and it is bright, and it has masses of daisy like flowers held on narrow stems around 60cm in height. Starts flowering in mid June and goes on through till early September. Read more…
