  • Giving a little help with a friends garden,high on the list of preferences is flowers which are scented. Here is a list of some that could be useful.

  • HT: Chrysler Imperial, red
  • HT: Papa Meilland, dark red
  • HT: Perfume Delight, pink
  • HT: Secret
  • ER: Gertrude Jekyll, pink
  • ER: Othello, dark red
  • Alba: Felicite Parmentier, once-blooming
  • Damask: Mme. Hardy, white, once-blooming
  • Tea: Sombreuil, cream-white
  • Bourbon: Souvenir de la Malmasion
  • HP: Souvenir du Dr Jamain.
  •  Lilium
  • Lilium Regale Alba is a tall lily
  • with highly scented, ivory-white trumpets with a yellow throat, often with green markings. Originally from China and introduced to Gt. Britain in 1903, this is an easy and accommodating plant and offers a tall focal point to the border. Good in shady borders where it appears luminous in evening light.
