Buddleja Davidii Black Knight

The fully hardy shrub Buddleja Black Knight is dramatic in appearance and a treat for the butterflies and bees in late Summer.

The very dark purple arching flower spikes are borne in abundance, if planted in a sunny border.

Reaching a height of 6/8ft the shrub will have a straggly appearance if planted in a shady situation.

Late March or early April prune the shrub hard back, about 18″ from ground level just above a healthy bud.

Position – Full sun

Soil – Fertile well drained soil

Height – 6/8ft

Hardiness – Fully hardy
